Does Microcetin cause anemia?

Yes, Microcetin might cause aplastic anemia which is a type of anemia in which the body is not able to make new red blood cells. Microcetin induces aplastic anemia by suppressing the red bone marrow which produces new red blood cells. However, it is reversible and the red blood cells production by red bone marrow is restored after discontinuation of this drug.
