Zilion Sl contains zolpidem which is a sedative & hypnotic agent. It is presumed that zolpidem works by producing the calming effect on the brain by decreasing the excessive neuronal activity of the brain which induces sleep.
Rarely, Zilion Sl can raise blood sugar levels in diabetic patients. However, the cause behind this is unknown.
