Unitrocin is a prescription medicine that is available as a Syrup, Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Sinusitis, Tonsillitis, Bronchitis. Other than this, Unitrocin has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

No, Unitrocin is not good for a cold. Cold is a viral disease, whereas Unitrocin is used for bacterial infections only.

Can Unitrocin treat gonorrhea and chlamydia?

Yes, Unitrocin can treat gonorrhea and chlamydia. For the mild infection, a single dose is given whereas in case of severe infection treatment should be given for at least one week, and response should be closely monitored by a healthcare provider. However, you must consult your doctor before taking any antibiotic for treating gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Can I take Unitrocin for abscess?

Unitrocin is not given for the abscess. It is not recommended for skin and soft tissue infection. Generally, a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is given twice daily. However. it is best to consult your doctor about the right line treatment for abscess.

No, Unitrocin does not use for a cough. A cough is a symptom, of flu, colds, upper respiratory tract infection, asthma, COPD, laryngitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Unitrocin is used in relieving the cough only, when it is able to treat these diseases. But we know that cold and flu is viral, cough caused by this disease, medicine could not be used, and a cough caused by another disease like bronchitis, laryngitis, and upper respiratory tract infection it may be bacterial or viral, if the cause of this disease is bacterial infection then Unitrocin can be used. Please consult your doctor before taking this medicine for a cough.
