Dimik Information

Dimik is a prescription drug, available for use as Injection. It is primarily used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection. Other than this, Dimik has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

The optimal dosage of Dimik is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. This information has been provided in detail in the dosage section.

How does Dimik work?

Dimik is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by preventing the synthesis of proteins that bacteria need to survive, in the absence of protein synthesis bacteria become vulnerable and dies. It is effective against different types of bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Proteus species, S. aureus, Acinetobacter and Serratia species.
