    Does Ace cause fever?

    How does Ace work?

    Ace contains chloramphenicol which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting the protein synthesis in bacteria which needs to survive. In the absence of protein, the bacterial growth is stunned and slowed. It can also kill the bacteria in higher doses. Ace is effective against a wide range of both gram negative and gram positive bacteria such as Salmonella species, Rickettsia species, Neisseria meningitidis, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, and Staphylococcus pneumoniae.
