Aciloc is a brand name of ranitidine. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of drug called antihistamine (H2 receptor blocker). It prevents excessive acid production in the stomach. It is used to treat a number of diseases such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome.

How to use Aciloc?

Aciloc can be taken with or without food to prevent heartburn and acid indigestion. Take it 30 - 60 minute before meal or drinking beverages that cause indigestion. Do not take more than 2 tablets in a day unless recommended by the doctor.

Why Aciloc is given along with vitamine B 12?

Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking [medicine] for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
