Yes, Amica has been reported to cause diarrhoea and it is a common side effect of this medicine. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. If you are experiencing severe diarrhoea after using this drug, discuss with your doctor immediately without any further delay.
Yes, Amica is effective against bacteria (Pseudomonas). But it is also found that Pseudomonas can get resistant to this drug and in that case Amica will not produce desired results. If you are experiencing no symptomatic relief after taking this medicine then inform your doctor and follow his/her instructions.
Do not self-administer Amica. It comes in the form of injection and given preferably 2 - 3 times in a day (Intravenously). Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote resistant bacteria which result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 10 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. In case you feel any discomfort such as hearing loss and nephrotoxicity while taking Amica please inform your doctor immediately.
Discontinuing Amica on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and infection relapse. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor if you have decided to discontinue this medicine.
No, Amica is not available in tablet form. It is available in only injectable dosage form either given by intramuscularly or intravenously depends on patient condition or severity of infections.
