How does Apdrops PD work?

Apdrops PD contains moxifloxacin (a broad-spectrum antibiotic that belongs to the class of drugs known as fluoroquinolones). It works by inhibiting enzymes (topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase) in bacteria which prevents the DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination that is essential for the survival of the susceptible organism. In this way Apdrops PD is effective against a wide range of both gram negative and gram positive bacteria such as Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Moraxella catarrhalis.

How to take Apdrops PD?

The dosage of this drug may vary depending on the type of infection and severity of the infection. Usually, oral Apdrops PD is recommended to be taken once daily or as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without the food because food does not affect the absorption of this drug. Precautions must be taken in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, heart diseases, diabetes mellitus, and improper liver or kidney function.
