No, Atorfit Max does not cause diabetes. It has not been reported to cause diabetes. However, Atorfit Max might increase your blood sugar levels slightly. So, if you have diabetes keep a check on your blood sugar levels and in case of a sudden spike inform your doctor and take medicines accordingly.
Atorfit Max works by inhibiting an enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) which is responsible for cholesterol synthesis in our body, its inhibition results in increased levels of HDL (good cholesterol) and decreased levels of LDL (bad cholesterol) which lowers the risk of developing heart disease and helps in preventing strokes
