Dizziness is a feeling of light-headedness and unbalance. Yes, Regaflam has been associated with dizziness and overdose may cause fainting as well. Therefore, if you experience dizziness do not force yourself to perform any activity instead lie down take rest and inform your doctor if it persists for more than half an hour.
Regaflam is available in the form of a tablet, chewable tablet, suspension and drops, and syrup. Prescription Regaflam is taken every 4 to 6 hours for arthritis and pain. Adults and children older than 12 years may take non-prescription Regaflam every 4 to 6 hours. Children and infants may be given Regaflam every 6 to 8 hours. It is important to take Regaflam with food or milk so as to prevent stomach upset. If you are taking Regaflam every day, remember to take it at the same time. Regaflam is also available in combination with other drugs for treating cold and cough. If you have prescribed a combination containing Regaflam, do not take any non-prescription drug containing Regaflam as it might cause overdosage. Shake the drops and suspensions well before use.
Painkillers like Regaflam should not be used if there is decreased kidney function as they may reduce the supply of blood to the kidneys. Also, long-term use can also impair the normal kidneys. Therefore, it is important that you talk to your doctor in case you have reduced kidney function. You should use Regaflam exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Yes, the risk of a heart disease increases with the intake of Regaflam, especially during a long-term use, in comparison to those people who do not use Regaflam. The drug should be avoided if you have had a history heart attack or cardiac ailments. You must inform your doctor if someone in your family had a heart attack or a stroke, if you smoke, or if you have ever had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Call for the emergency help right away if you experience slurred speech, shortness of breath, chest pain or weakness in one side of the body.
Yes, Regaflam can cause weight gain. Weight gain is one of the adverse effects of taking it as it causes fluid retention or worsens the existing fluid retention. It is therefore important that if you notice these changes in your body and immediately speak to a doctor in case of an adverse reaction to Regaflam.
