Respivel M is a brand name of doxofylline and it is available in the form of a tablet and syrup. It is a derivative of methylxanthine and belongs to the class of drug known as bronchodilators. Respivel M is a prescription drug which is used for relief of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma, COPD, and pulmonary disease.
Rarely, Respivel M causes insomnia (sleeplessness) if taken in high doses. It is known side effect of this drug. To tackle this your doctor may switch your medications or lower its dosage.
