Stressban is a brand name for alprazolam. It is a controlled prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called benzodiazepine. Can I discontinue Stressban on my own without doctors advice?

Stopping or discontinuing Stressban on your own can cause withdrawal symptoms (seizures, difficulty in sleep, headache, nervousness, and depression). However, if you decide to stop/discontinue it, then stop it slowly, do not stop suddenly.
