How does Tetan work

Dr. Gaurav MBBS , General Physician
Tetan contains telmisartan which is an antihypertensive drug that works by preventing a chemical (angiotensin II) to bind with a receptor. This causes relaxation of blood vessels, it also prevents the synthesis and release of aldosterone (a hormone whose hyperactivity results in high blood pressure). In this way Tetan decreases the blood pressure.
