Interaction between Alcohol and Noul
Consuming Noul with alcohol can have many serious effects on your body.
Noul works by blocking the action of proton pump inhibitor which is responsible for acid production in the stomach. By blocking the production of acid in the stomach it helps to relieve from acidity, heartburn, GERD, stomach ulcer and other acidity related stomach problems.
This is because a long-term use of Noul can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking [medicine] for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
Yes, Noul can cause constipation. It is a common side effect of this drug. However, if you are experiencing any unpleasant effects after taking this medicine, please consult your doctor right away and follow his/her instructions.
Noul should be taken 30 - 60 minute before meal. Preferably it should be taken once a day in the morning before breakfast. However, some people may require to take it twice in a day, in this case, 1 tablet should be taken in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening before meal.
