Yes, Cleargel can treat strep. It is used in the treatment of strep throat (pharyngitis) caused by Streptococcus pyogenes. Since it is a prescription drug and an antibiotic, you are advised to not take this drug by yourself to avoid bacterial resistance.
No, Cleargel does not cause a headache. It has not been reported by the patient's who are taking this drug. However, if you are experiencing a headache after taking this drug, take a mild painkiller, applying balms and complete rest even after this if the pain does not subside then discuss with your doctor immediately.
Yes, Cleargel can be used in those patients who are allergic to penicillin. Your doctor may use a patch test to determine whether you are allergic to Cleargel as well or not.
Oral Cleargel can be taken with or without food because food does not have any effect on the absorption of this drug. The topical gel of Cleargel should be applied as a thin layer once daily on the affected area or as advised by your doctor. Precautions must be taken in patients with colitis and improper kidney or liver function.
Take Cleargel as directed by your doctor to ensure complete eradication of infection. Do not take or use this medicine longer than prescribed to avoid bacterial resistance.
