Interaction between Alcohol and Pantaom

Avoid taking Pantaom with levothyroxine because it delays the absorption of levothyroxine and also effects the efficacy of levothyroxine. Please seek guidance from your doctor regarding taking these two medicines together.
Pantaom is a prescription drug so do not take it without consulting a doctor. It can be harmful to people to take this medicine without a doctor's advice.
This is because long-term use of Pantaom can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acids which are required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking [medicine] for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
Pantaom is not an antacid. It is proton pump inhibitor which reduce the excess acid in the stomach.
