Yes, Kefodime can cause liver toxicity if taken in higher doses for a long time. You are advised to get regular liver function tests done to keep a check on proper liver functioning while taking this drug.
Kefodime should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote bacterial resistance which results in a relapse of the infection.
