Clindatec is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It works by preventing the protein synthesis in bacteria which are essential for it. The absence of these vital proteins results in stunned bacterial cell growth due to which bacteria become vulnerable and dies. Clindatec is effective against a wide range of both gram negative and gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Prevotella melaninogenica, and lostridium perfringens.
