Palevo is the brand name of levocetirizine. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called antihistamine (H1 receptor blocker). It is used in the treatment of allergic rhinitis, urticaria, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing and other types of allergies.
Palevo works by blocking the action of histamine which is responsible for allergies in our body. This helps to relieve symptoms of allergies, such as a runny nose, sneezing, and redness, watery, itchy eyes. This drug also helps to relieve itching caused due to urticaria (hives).
Although, Palevo is classified as a non-drowsy antihistamine, but it can still cause drowsiness in some people. If you are taking this drug and feeling drowsy, then you are recommended not to drive or use heavy machinery. Please consult your doctor if you experience any unwanted effects.
