Interaction between Food and Cefgol

Interaction between Alcohol and Cefgol
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Cefgol with alcohol will be.
Yes, Cefgol can cause liver toxicity if taken in higher doses for a long time. You are advised to get regular liver function tests done to keep a check on proper liver functioning while taking this drug.
Occasionally, Cefgol can cause drug-induced thrombocytopenia (blood clot formation in a vessel). However, if you experience severe thrombocytopenia after taking this medicine, please immediately seek medical help.
Discontinuing Cefgol in between may promote resistance to bacteria which may result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. Incase you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
Avoid taking Cefgol with azithromycin, because it can cause heart-related problems. However, if you are experiencing any discomfort after consuming these two medicines at the same time then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
Yes, Cefgol can cause stomach upset if taken on an empty stomach. It is a common side effect of this drug. Please inform your doctor if you are experiencing severe stomach upset after taking this medicine.
