Podo is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet, Syrup. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection, Bronchitis. The alternative uses of Podo have also been explained below.

Is the use of Podo safe for pregnant women?
Podo rarely shows harmful effects in in pregnant ladies. Even if it does, the effects are mild
Is the use of Podo safe during breastfeeding?
Women who are breastfeeding can experience some moderate side effects of Podo. Immediately discontinue Podo if you observe any side effects. Contact your doctor, and restart using it only if your doctor considers it safe for you.
What is the effect of Podo on the Kidneys?
There may be some adverse effects on kidney after taking Podo. If you observe any such side effects, stop taking this drug. Consume this medicine again only if your doctor advises you to do so.

There is no benefit of taking Podo for mental disorders.
Interaction between Food and Podo
Taking Podo with food does not harm your health.
Interaction between Alcohol and Podo
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Podo with alcohol will be.
Podo can be safely taken as prescribed by your doctor. Do not discontinue the medicine suddenly or take it longer than prescribed duration.
Podo does not help in preventing cold, because common cold is a viral infection. However, the drug can help in bringing relief from symptoms of cold, if it is associated with a bacterial infection. To treat cold take ample rest, maintain proper hygiene, gargle with saline water and seek medical advice if common cold symptoms persist for more than 7-8 days.
Podo should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote bacterial resistance which results in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. Incase you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
Podo and doxycycline can be taken together, as there are no reported harmful interactions between them. However, it doesn't mean that no interactions exist between them. Please take if prescribed by a doctor.
Avoid taking Podo with azithromycin, because it can cause heart-related problems. However, if you are experiencing any discomfort after consuming these two medicines at the same time then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
