Interaction between Food and Seadox
Seadox may take longer to act if you eat some foods while taking it. Follow your doctor's advice on this.
Interaction between Alcohol and Seadox
Due to lack of research, nothing can be said about side effects of consuming alcohol while taking Seadox.
Seadox can be taken with ofloxacin. No drug-drug interactions are reported between them. Ofloxacin also does not affect the absorption of this drug. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction could exist. Please consult your doctor, if you feel any complication after consuming these two medicines at the same time.
Discontinuing Seadox in between may promote resistance to bacteria which may result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. Incase you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
No, Seadox should not be taken with an antacid. It can impair the absorption of a drug.
No, Seadox should not be given to children under 8 years. It can cause permanent tooth discoloration in children especially under 8 years old.
